| Rome: Arrive in Rome and transfer to the hotel. Group welcome dinner at hotel this evening.

| Rome: Guided tour of the Vatican Museums, Sistine Chapel, St. Peter’s Basilica (Optional Mass may be arranged here). Afternoon city tour of Ancient Rome. See the Coliseum, the Presidential Palace, the Roman Forum, St Pauls outside-the-walls.

| Rome: Attend weekly Papal audience at St. Peters.(Wednesdays only) Afternoon tour of Christian Rome with stops at the Basilica of St. John in Lateran, the Holy Stairs and St. Mary Majors Basilica. Visit the Catacombs, which were the burial place of early Christians. (Optional Mass may be arranged here)

| Rome: City tour to include the Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain and Piazza Navona and the American Church of Santa Suzanna. (Optional Mass may be arranged here)

| Rome to Assisi: Travel by coach to Assisi. Visit the Basilica of St. Mary of the Angels and the Portiuncula. Travel up the hill to the old town to see the Church of St. Claire and a visit to the Basilica of St. Francis. (Optional Mass may be arranged here)

| Assisi to Florence: Morning at leisure in Assisi. After lunch, travel by coach to Florence. Visit the Accademia Museum to seethe famous Michelangelo statue of David.

| Florence to Rome: A guided walking tour of the city center will include the Duomo, the baptistery and the Basilica of Santa Croce. (Optional Mass may be arranged here) Tour of the Uffizi Gallery after lunch. Return to Rome by coach in the late afternoon.
